Location, Location, Location!
Today’s “
Pearls Before Swine” (one of my favorite daily comics, written by
Stephan Pastis) was not only funny for those knowledgeable of the real estate industry, but also relevant to my business as well.
The old adage of “Location, Location, Location” has been around for as long as I can remember, and in most circumstances it holds true. But what about when you have a location 3 miles away from civilization, and you want to promote it to a buyer who finds that attractive?
The thought of a good location only applies when the client determines what a good location is in their own mind. For example, if someone who enjoyed lived in an apartment building for 30 years decided to move into something larger in size, maybe their ultimate location would not be a house with a huge yard and lots of space from neighbors. Maybe they would feel more comfortable in a bunch of pre-fabricated tract homes, with 8 feet of space between them and their neighbor, keeping them close to others for socialization. I live in a community like this myself, and would rather live among friends to depend on than having my closest neighbor being miles away. But other people might prefer to have that desolation from society, making this their favored “location”.
Whatever location you are trying to project for the sale of your property, you can use our video tours to emphasize it, even if you
don’t want to emphasize the location! Like what if your listing was next to a dump that smelled all of the time? We could sell that location in your video by highlighting all of the great things around the house, and take away from the fact that the dump is near. All of our video tours come with free highlights of the surrounding area, like being near great shopping, nice parks, and easily accessible freeways. And the best part of our videos is that your potential buyers don’t have to
be at your location to see the house in all of it’s glory! We can make the buyer see what you want them to see, so that you can cater to the right person and close the deal.
